Aphaenogaster spp. are known for their long legs, narrow waists, and graceful, elegant movements. While many species operaste in a jerky, unpredictable manner, Aphaenogaster workers are slow and deliberate in their behaciour, as if they are tiptoeing through the forest floor to not wake up the other ant colonies.
