    Banded Carpenter Ants

    Camponotus subbarbatus are very popular for their rich, chestnut-colored exoskeletons and yellow bee-like abdominal bands. Although members of the Myrmentoma species group, C. subbarbatus minor workers are uniquely shaped and are occasionally mistaken for Formica workers.
