    Pyramid Ants

Although they do indeed build impressive volcano-like mounds around their nest entrances, Dorymyrmex bureni earn their name from the pointy, pyramid-like protrusions atop worker mesosomas. These heat-loving ants are very friendly and are great options for the active, fun-loving ant-keeper.
